History

Woodsfield Savings Bank was established in 1887 as Woodsfield Building and Loan. Over the years, our name has changed to Woodsfield Savings and Loan and then to our current name in 1995 of Woodsfield Savings Bank. We have grown leaps and bounds since then. We now have two locations, our main office in Woodsfield and since 2017, our branch in Barnesville. What has not changed, is our commitment to the people in our community. We pride ourselves in offering all the features of a large bank but with a hometown feel. Woodsfield Savings Bank is a community bank that believes in making long-term relationships with its customers, knowing their names, and supporting the community in which we serve.

Our bank is proud to employ over 20 staff and 7 directors that live right here in the communities that we serve. Decisions are always made locally, and we take to heart how they affect our customers and their families! Our customers are more than just account numbers and credit scores. Local decision making gives us an extra advantage in knowing our customers and each of their unique circumstances.
